We've been using the nRF52840 for a while now with the LDO configuration. We are trying to optimize the power consumed by our system and are exploring the DC/DC configuration.
We built our system taking into consideration this option, so the LC is already present.
We have peripherals with external sensors and GWs both running on nRF52840, the peripherals advertise and connect to the GWs as well as cellphones via BLE. The GWs scan for the peripherals and establish connections when needed.
Besides the need for the extra HW, are there any other drawbacks or risks of using the DC/DC?
Does it have an impact on BLE range or reliability due to the switching?
