FOTA - Information in file app_update.bin

Hello, 

I'm using the file app_update.bin of my project to execute a FOTA. I know that the first bytes indicates if the file is an application firmware, modem full or modem delta. But in case of an application FOTA I need to be sure that I downloaded the right file of the right project before updating the device. 

Is there any information about the name of the board, the name of the prj.conf file or other information in the app_udapte.bin file ?

Hello Elisa, 

The app_update.bin is a signed version of your application. The signature matches to what MCUboot expects and allows this file to be used as an update.
