MCUboot overrides CONFIG_GPIO_AS_PINRESET=n

Working with nRF52840 and nRF Connect SDK v2.1.0., whenever I enable MCUboot in the project configuration, the reset pin gets enabled on the next flash. I believe this has to do with MCUboot writing to UICR. Can anybody confirm and possibly provide a workaround?

The default board config is that it's enabled here: https://github.com/nrfconnect/sdk-zephyr/blob/main/boards/arm/nrf52840dk_nrf52840/nrf52840dk_nrf52840_defconfig#L27 

You will have to either change this in your board file or add an overlay for the MCUBoot child image that sets CONFIG_GPIO_AS_PINRESET=n. That should do the trick.
