What is missing from Nordic Connect SDK support for nRF51 devices?

I have nRF51822 chips I would like to use for some small projects, but I would also prefer to use my current NCS workflow. I haven't found anything specifically indicating what is missing from nRF51 support, the official release from a while back just said "Partial" support.

Is there a resource that explains what is missing from nRF51 device support in NCS?

Hi Anthony,

You may regard nRF51822 as not supported by nRF Connect SDK. Upstream zephyr has nRF51 board support, however, you are then on your own.

We recommend the nRF52 and nRF53 series for any new projects.
