Is there an ETSI certification for nRF24L01 available?

Hi there!

I would like to implement the nRF24L01-module to one project. But, it would be great, too, if i can use the application manual to use only the chip itself with the external recommended parts.

But, what's about the ETSI certification for EU-States? Should i go to an specified radio labor to check up the whole PCB or is it okay if i use the recommended PCB design rules?

I don't want to charge a lot of money for that...

The best information would be, if there is a certificate done by the manufacturer :)

ps. if the module is not certificate in these region, it seems illegal to drive one of these - isn't it?

Hi Bjoern,

If you are using a ready-made module the manufacturer will likely have gotten the module ETSI approved, I recommend asking them for this.

If you are making a new product/pcb with the nRF24L01 onboard you will have to get it compliance tested before it can be sold, have a look at the compliance testing whitepaper for more information.
