About Bluetooth Mesh network performance

I am trying to create a Bluetooth Mesh network with nRF52840.

Where can I find official data on the network performance of Bluetooth Mesh?
For example, the following URL.

infocenter.nordicsemi.com/.../ble_data_throughput.html

Do you have the following data?
1. graph of throughput and latency vs. number of hops (e.g., with payload size of 255 bytes)
2. graph of throughput and latency vs. payload size (e.g., at 10 hops)

Hi!

The latency will largely depend on number of hops between source and destination, and the advertising interval. Some time for processing in the node, and possibility of queuing in the node must be accounted for, which should be less than 2 ms.

Worst case: (2ms + Advertising_Interval) * no_of_hop, assuming no packet loss.

Still assuming no packet loss, but averaging out on the wait time to advertise will give: (2ms + Advertising_Interval)/2 * no_of_hop

I'll check if we have any data available for the throughput.

We don't have any extensive data on the throughput.

Could I ask if you are working with the nRF5 SDK or nRF Connect SDK?

I'm using the nRF5 SDK for Mesh, but I may change it if the nRF Connect SDK has better performance.

I know there was some improvements with regards to throughput on the latest release of NCS. Although I don't have any exact numbers.

However; I would advise you to work with the nRF Connect SDK regardless. As you might already know, the nRF5 SDK is now in maintenance mode, and future development is focused around NCS.

This means that the market-proven nRF5 SDK for Mesh is also in maintenance mode. It supports Bluetooth mesh up to 1.0.1.
New designs should use the nRF Connect SDK.
