Rubbish received on serial terminal when running OpenThread CLI example on nRF52840 DK

Hello,

I am trying to run OpenThread CLI example on my nrf52840 DK but I came across a weird issue: in my serial terminal as soon as I open the port I receive rubbish.

I am using the USB port and I built the example as shown in the ot-nrf528xx repo github.com/.../nrf52840

./script/build nrf52840 USB_trans

I have also tried to disable JLink MSD but no luck so far.
My dev kit is 2.0.1 version there are no known hw issues.

Hi Marco,

I suggest you try the latest sample which is maintained by Nordic in NCS: Thread: CLI — nRF Connect SDK 2.1.1 documentation (nordicsemi.com).

There is an overlay-usb.conf that could be used to enable a direct USB connection.

It works fine with my Raspberry Pi and my Mac so I guess it has to do with my Ubuntu laptop. I'll close this case for now. Thanks.
