Difference between Terminal Emulator and Debug Terminal in Segger IDE

Hi Team,

I am using SEGGER 5.4 IDE and NRF52840DK controller.

I did not understand the difference between  Terminal Emulator and Debug Terminal in Segger IDE.

I am not getting any output in Debug Terminal in Segger IDE but I am getting the output in Terminal emulator.

 

Please explain what is the purpose of Terminal Emulator and  Debug Terminal in Segger IDE.

Hello,

Terminal emulators are for serial interface that you can receive or send data over serial interface. And debug terminal is for debug output from the Application you are working.

Please go through the Segger website for this.
