If iPhoneX support Extended advertising?

Hi, all

My nRF52840 board is running in the extended advertising mode.

My Android phone can scan it, but my iPhone X can't scan it.

I know that iPhone X supports BT5.0, doesn't it support extended advertising?

Hello,

I am not sure about the current state of iPhone's abilities around extended advertising. I also doesn't know whether the nRF Connect for iOS app supports it. I will check with  our iOS developers, and get back to you, hopefully tomorrow.

I confirmed with the team working on nRF Connect for iOS that scanning for extended advertising is supported in the app, but they believed that iPhone X is a bit too old. Extended advertising is not supported in the bluetooth chip inside the phone. I have still not found a place saying exactly what phones that are supported, but suggests that at least iPhone 12 and up seems to support it.

Hi, just an update...we are currently able to perform a scan with iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro. Conversely, iPhone X and iPhone 8 plus do not see extended advertisement.
