Hello,
I am planning to use the balun BD2425P50100AHF with the nRF52833. The voltage on the pins BAL1 and BAL2 can go up to 15V.
I am wondering what is the maximum allowed voltage on the nRF52833 BLE pin?

Hi there,
I'm not sure exactly which pin you're referring to with "BLE pin", but the maximum voltage on the I/O pin is VDD + 0V3 if VDD <3V6, 3V9 if VDD > 3V6.

Hello, I was referring to the radio pin. Is it the same?
Hi,
I don't think we have characterized this, as far as I know the voltage of the RF signal will vary.
But,
I am planning to use the balun BD2425P50100AHF with the nRF52833. The voltage on the pins BAL1 and BAL2 can go up to 15V.
Why do you want to use that balun? It's not something we recommend nor is it part of our reference design. We did recommend it on our older nRF51 series but it's not recommended on the nRF52 series.
See reference design for nRF52833 here.

Hey,
I tried to open the link for the reference design for nRF52833 but it doesn't work, could you try again?
I don't know why this balun has been chosen.
Does it mean that we can go higher than VDD on the ANT pin?

Aurelie
Hi,
I don't think that we have characterized the voltage as it will vary, but the RMS voltage at 10 mW in 50 ohm is about 0V7. So maximum 1V0. The balun should be fine.

I updated the link, it should work now.
