Difference between the nRF52840 and nRF52832

What is the difference between nRF52840(QFAA) and nRF52832(QFAA) on hardware level? Do both of them have same footprint? Because I am facing difficulty finding the stock for nRF52840(QFAA). Can I use nRF52832(QFAA) on my PCB till the stock is not available for nRF52840(QFAA)
