nrf52840 direction finding

Hi,

I know nrf52840 does not support direction finding and it seems because of hw limitation like the link.

 nRF52840 BLE 5.1 Direction finding 

But can I get a little more detail why nrf52840 can not support the direction finding.

what If I use nrf5340 for AOA and use nrf52840 device only for advertising(CTE?), is it still impossible?

I will appreciate if someone clarify it.

The RADIO peripheral on the nRF52840 does not support direction finding. It lacks register such as CTEINLINECONF, DFEOPMODE, DFECTRL1, etc. They are not implemented in the silicon/HW.
