nPM1100 unregulated output to nRF9160

I just want to ask if one can use the nPM1100 with the unregulated output to the nRF9160 (which can take 3-5.5V), and the regulated output the other peripherals. 

The datasheet states that the maximum battery discharge current is 680mA so that should cover the 9160's 500mA max load?

Yes, this can be done. Connect the nRF9160 to the VSYS pin of the nPM1100.
