NRF Mesh IOS APP ISSUE

Hello,

When we are trying to create mesh using IOS application latest version(3.2.0) but Mesh doesn't work properly.

But the same system is tested with Android Nrf App(3.2.4) its working fine.

Could you please help in configuring Mesh network using IOS app.

Hello Elfving,

We are trying two devices in a mesh.We will send data from one device to another through Mesh.

In Android data is sending every time from one device to another.

But IOS its not sending data.

Please let us know how to do configuration for IOS else provide any links that guide us how to do configuration settings in IOS app.

So the messages are not being sent in the mesh you've made using the IOS app? Did you configure the two the same way?

No,we are not using separate pair for testing.With same devices only we are testing Android and IOS app.

We are using two embedded devices(with microcontroller) which is having Bluetooth support.

These devices have relays controlled via switches.

We are binding these devices into Mesh,and during the Mesh operation when we operate switches in both the devices relays turn on/off based on the events.

We have Nodric stack running on the devices,we are using Nordic Mesh app for listing the devices and we are binding them with similar application keys and configuring Generic On Off Server and Generic On Off Client under Elements section in Nrf app.

For Android we are setting Publish Address as 0xFFFF under Gereic On Off Client.

But in IOS we are unable to see the settings under publication,If we set for All Nodes still the Mesh transmission is not working(i.e data is not being sent from one device to other but this Mesh works fine in Android).

So the workflow is the same in the android app and IOS app, until the point where you set the publish address. In the Android App you can set the publish address but in the IOS one you are not able to. And potentially due to this, the communication does not work.

Yes your understanding is correct,but i want to know are both the APPS(IOS and Android)designed in same way?

Because when comes to configuration settings its quite different in IOS APP.

Its true that the version for android and IoS might not be setup in the exact same way, though setting the publication on the IOS one should be as easy as this:

Node -> Element -> Model -> Publication -> click first row, where you can select destination and the key -> Go back to previous screen -> Click Done.

This tutorial might be a bit helpful as well, though I believe it is for an older version of the app.
