Thread and OpenThread inter-operability

Hi, We have used Thread 1.0 for our current product and using OpenThread for our next gen product. Are these two compatible with each other? In other words, can an Thread device communicate with n OpenThread device?

OpenThread is just the google implementation of Thread protocol. So Yes, Openthread is expected to be compatible with Thread spec 1.0

This is very interesting. So how would the network joining etc work? We have lot of thread devices in the lab, but my OpenThread Leader wouldn't see any of them.

Sorry for late response, Not sure why your thread devices won't see them, probably they need to be commissioned onto the network where your thread devices are?
