Hello,

are NRF SoCs considered as BLE certified?

What is the default firmware in such case?

I guess no fw changes are allowed so that certification remains valid, right?

Hi 

We provide Bluetooth certifications (QDID's) for the nRF devices, yes. You have to find a QDID that maps with the nRF device and Bluetooth stack that you want to use. 

As long as you use the right Bluetooth stack you are then free to implement your own application on top of it, this part is not covered by the Bluetooth certification.

If you are making your own hardware you might need to do a RF PHY retest at some point, but this is something we can do for you if you ship your prototypes to us.
