higher GPIO current in short pulses?

Hello, I know the current limit of 15mA to share among all gpio pins. If I source/sink current in very short bursts (100ns every 1ms) can I draw larger currents than 15 mA if the mean current is not above 15mA and my power supply can handle it?

I want to drive two mosfets N gates at higher current. Right now I have a resistor in series of 1.5KOhm which limits this peak current to 2mA. 2mA in two pins because both mosfets turn on at the same time, so 4mA max current sourced or sinked. Most of the time the mosfet is not consuming any current, so the average current is below 0.01mA for each pin. If I could source/sink for example 10mA in each pin in these short bursts, my mosfet would switch much faster.

Is this possible? Where is the limit? Is there any graph or documentation about this? Thank you very much,
