nRF24LU1 legacy project (is there any sdk17 "gzll_ack_payload" with statistics version for legacy device?)

To the kind attention of Nordic support team,

we are (re)working on an old legacy project using nRF24LU1 and gazell protocol. We would need to know if there is some simple code like SDK17 proprietary_rf /gzll/ gzll_ack_payload that we

can use for empirical characterization and tests of our antenna. In particular this SDK17 code for nRF52 devices has got this very handy statistic mode, that is computing these CRC failures. Is

there some simple code that would do the same for nRF24LU1? Is there a "gzll_ack_payload" host/device with statistics for nRF24LU1? Would you please point me out to the best sample

program I could use for simple empirical characterization of antenna? What SDK should be used? And if statistic was not already introduced, what would you suggest to compute it correctly?

Did you ever install the LU1 Sniffer demo? 
https://github.com/NordicPlayground/nrf24lu1p-snifferdemo

I haven't used this application in years, but I believe there is a way to measure RX packet loss between some device under test, and the nRF24LU1+ dongle that is connected to the sniffer. 

Please note that the Sniffer demo uses ESB and not Gazell, but since Gazell is just a layer on top of ESB this should not be a problem for testing purposes.
