Provisioning Credentials To Custom nrf9160 Board

Hi there,

I am currently building nrf9160 custom board. But now I am planning to implement provisioning credentials like this URL https://docs.nrfcloud.com/Devices/Security/Credentials/ . So in my board case, we're using JTAG Segger for uploading firmware. So there is no usb port on my board.

Do I need a usb port with FTDI or something similar to do communication between my PC to nrf9160? Really thanks for answer.

Hi,

Credentials can be installed with J-Link RTT instead of serial. In order to achieve this, you can use Modem Shell (Mosh) sample with the RTT Kconfig overlay file (overlay-rtt.conf). Afterwards, you should be able to connect to the device with RTT Viewer to send commands. You can read more about added RTT support and RTT support script. In addition, ensure that the following options are selected in the RTT Viewer settings (under "Input" tab): "Send on Enter", "Blocked if the FIFO is full", and "Windows format (CR+LF)" for line endings.
