iOS provisioning process for Mesh Chat

[timyi]

We followed the below with Apple phone iOS 16.1.2 for provisioning.

developer.nordicsemi.com/.../sample_description.html

We completed provisioning the device.

But we could not do configuring models as below;

Let us have the proviosining process for iOS and how to fix unconfiguring it.

mesh chat problem.pdfOur version is both NCS v2.0.2 and NCS v2.1.2, nRF52832DK, nRF52840.  And we tested both versions. Still we didn't provision.

Hi,

Let us have the proviosining process for iOS and how to fix unconfiguring it.

The provisioning process for iOS should be straight forward. You can see the procedure tailored to the sample you're using here https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/samples/bluetooth/mesh/chat/sample_description.html#testing

When you're connected, you need to select the OOB type to provision the device, for instance Input type push and push a button the amount of times the app prompt tells you to authenticate the device. After this you can follow the configuring steps in the guide

Here is also some additional resources regarding mesh provisioning handler for Nordic DKs if you need information about the authentication methods.

After this, you should see 3 elements as droidecahedron states.

If this does not work, can you please describe every single step from flashing the device to your result so we can verify if you're missing a step or not?

Kind regards,
Andreas.

Finally, we provisioned and 3 models in 1 element were generated. We configured as your instruction. With android version, successfully communicate both well. But we didn't make the communication with Apple version. Please find the attached. Let us know what we missed or we did wrong. test.pdf

Hi,

Apologies for the long response time. I've been in and out of the office due to the seasonal flue and Christmas holidays.

While waiting for a response, have you managed to make it work? If not, I'll look into it

Kind regards,
Andreas

With a android phone, we provisioned it successfully. With iOS, we couldn't test the provisioning due to the phone problem itself properly. So, we suppose iOS have no problem for provisioning if the apple phone is ok. This case is better to close at this time. Thanks!, anyway.
