Problem about the Direction Finding white paper(nWP-036)

Hi, as stated at page 15 in the Direction Finding white paper(nWP-036), it says 'When the last switch pattern is reached and IQ sampling continues, the switch pattern loops back to the
one used in the first SWITCH slot'. Does this mean, combined with the illustration below, the loop inside the sample slot would be like just antenna 3-4-5-3-4-5-...?

As also previously stated in the same document at page 12 Figure 10, the first 8 samples in reference period are all from antenna 1 and sample slot starts with antenna 2. So the IQ data receiving just exclude antenna 1?

Yes, the switch pattern here goes between antennas 3, 4 and 5 in example figure 12. In figure 10, antenna 1 is indeed only used for the reference period, but this is not necessary. You can set it up to do switching/sampling on all available antennas as well, like what is done in our Direction Finding sample projects in the nRF Connect SDK.
