Using the NRF52840 NFC to read smartcards

Hi,

I am currently using the NRF52840 DK to evaluate the NFC functionalities of the SoC. It works very well with a smartphone.

I'd like to understand the NFC on the NRF52840 - can it be used as a reader to read information on a RFID smart card, for example?

Hi Tim,

The NFC peripheral can only be used as a tag. To read NFC tags a separate IC is needed.
