The device doesn't advertise after disconnecting during sending BLE data

Hello Group,

I'm working on the Nordic nRF52832 dev kit, nRF SDK version 1.9.1, with SEGGER Embedded Studio, based on the sample project ble_app_uart to send BLE data of a sensor. I have a problem with the following:

  • During BLE transferring the accelerometer data, I2C bus (notification, 240 bytes per 10ms). If the communication disconnects by moving the device far away, then the device disconnects and cannot advertise again.

Note:  . I need to send data with a high data rate, so I set the connection as 10 ms

. I don't have this problem if disconnecting when NOT SENDING BLE data.

            . I've set #define APP_ADV_DURATION_NORMAL         0

Do you have any links or ideas about this problem?

Thanks a lot for your time,

Jack

  • Hi,

I read the first post again. I think you might use the nRF5 SDK since you said it's based on the sample project ble_app_uart from nRF5SDK and from the code snippet is also from nRF5SDK. so I correct my answer.

In the nRF5, the code that starts the advertising again is at BLE_GAP_EVT_DISCONNECTED event in ble_advertising_on_ble_evt() in ble_advertising.c. It also works in the ble_app_uart example.
