nRF Connect for Desktop - Is there a download/build for Linux aarch64(arm64)

Hi Nordic-Dev's,

I've a short question. Is there a native build of your nRF Connect for Desktop Tools for Linux aarch64 (Ubuntu 22.04 LTS ARM) architecture? I want to separate different build environments (with all of the related tools) in separate VMs.

My host machine is an Apple MacBook M1 Max device, so I've to use aarch64/arm64 images for my virtual machines.

Best regards,

Benny Nestler

  • I agree. Still the same situation 2 years later. SEGGER supports ARM Linux. Even Microsoft supports ARM Linux with VSCode....

I'm in the same boat as Benny. I don't want to install everything in my ARM host macOS environment, I want to install it into a Linux environment to keep it contained and easily dealt with in the event that I encounter compatibility issues in the future. (It's also not possible to use an ARM macOS VM, because Apple's virtualization framework doesn't support USB passthrough.)
