Openthread and serial uart - merging

I'm trying to merge two projects together, one including openthread while the other is based on the serial example. But I get these errors:

I tried some troubleshooting myself, but no solution. I Have followed for the most part this thread -https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/80597/uart-with-openthread

I'm using UART1 so UART0 should be available for openthread.

Hi,

If you configure nrf_serial to use UARTE1, there should not be any compatibility issues with the OpenThread stack that uses UART0, just make sure that you disable UART0 for the UART driver in your sdk_config.h file (UART0_ENABLED and NRFX_UART0_ENABLED set to 0).

I'm not sure where the conflict with RTC2 is coming from, as nrf_serial should use app_timer (RTC1) for timeouts. Can you check the full build output, which should tell you both locations of the conflict?

That said, I would recommend you to look into using libUARTE instead of nrf_serial. nrf_serial is deprecated and removed in nRF5 SDK v17.x.x, and is generally not as mature and feature complete as libUARTE.

Make sure that UART_EASY_DMA_SUPPORT is set to 1 in your sdk_config.h file.

Which SDK version are you using, and which OpenThread example are you trying to merge?

UART_EASY_DMA_SUPPORT was set to 1. 

nRF5 SDK for Thread and Zigbee v4.1.0

It's not an OpenThread example, it's an existing project.

Can you share the full build output as I requested in my previous reply? This would help tell what conflicts are actually present in your project.

If you can share the full merged project, that would enable us to help you with finding a solution to the problems. If you are not merging an existing example, we can't know what drivers/libraries are used in the project, and we can't know what you have put in your sdk_config.h file.
