nrf52-DK usage with pc_ble_driver_py

Hello there,

I want to use the nrf52-DK  with pc_ble_driver_py. According to the 52832 compatibility matix (link), Revision 3 of the soc needs S132SD v6.1.1 at least. This seems not to be supported with pc_ble_driver_py at the moment (only 2 and 5 are). The nrf52-DK exists in multiple revisions with different SoCs. I asked a distributor already if it is possible do distinguish between SoC revisions. Unfortunately this is not possible.

So is there (A) any way to get a couple nrf52-dk with SoC 52832 rev.2 or

(B) implementing S132SD v6.1.1 in pc_ble_driver_py ?

I asked a distributor already if it is possible do distinguish between SoC revisions. Unfortunately this is not possible.

You can read the SoC revision by reading the FICR INFO.VARIANT register.

(B) implementing S132SD v6.1.1 in pc_ble_driver_py ?

We do not have any roadmaps to do this and it is not a small effort, so cannot suggest you to try porting.the pc-ble-driver.

I can also read the SoC revision visually when I have the nrf52-DK in my hands. The problem is, I cannot order it from a distributor in the according Revision since for them its all the same article.

I do not think that we have any control on what revisions are available with the Kits the distributors have, but it seems like the latest DKs with latest revision of this SoC will not have pc-ble-driver-py supported.
