Hello Nordic Team,

Hello Yeo,
I am not a nordic employee, but perhaps I can assist.
What are your conditions? Are you outdoors? Do you have clear vision to the sky or are there many obstructions?
Are you using any assistance data? A-GPS or P-GPS?
What hardware are you using? DK, Thingy or something else? Are you using on board antenna or external?
Getting the first fix can take some time, especially if located indoors and not using any assistance data. Then it probably won't work at all.
In my office, I eventually get a location if I put the devices near the windows pointing south (I'm quite far up in the northern hemisphere).
It you're not using assistance data, the device need to download a lot of info to make the calculations. This takes a lot of time (10+ minutes) to get from the satellites. I would not expect to get a fix within 158 seconds unless using assistance data or having very good conditions.
- Try to go outside, preferably in a clearing with little obstructions to the sky (Tall buildings, trees etc).
- Try using A-GPS data. This will significantly reduce your time to first fix, as you get the current time, approximate location (based on cell towers), ephemeris and almanac through LTE before searching.

Hi sorry for the late reply, I am currently using A-GPS on nrf9160 DK. I am using on board antenna and have successfully gotten the location data for the first time. However, when I flash the algorithm to the board for the second time it won't give me the location data even after 1000 fix. May I know how to resolve this?
