nRF52840 radio blocking test

Hi,

General information:

• nRF52840 SoC
• Our own PCB’s with inverted F-antenna
• nRF Connect SDK v1.8.0

We are in the middle of approval testing our product. We have supplied the test house with two units each flashed with the C:\v1.8.0\nrf\samples\peripheral\radio_test.

We have gotten the following response from the test house: "There is no method to realize RX blocking in the fixed frequency guide. This test item needs to test the bit error rate of the mutual transmission data package".

It is a hotchpotch of information about DTM and radio_test on the DevZone and very confusing! Do you provide a script or PC tool for calculating packet error rate by communicating via UART with our devices, with the radio_test flashed onto them?

Hi Annette

An RX blocking test is much easier to do with DTM than with the radio_test sample. This project is located in the path: ...\<NCS_VERSION>\nrf\samples\bluetooth\direct_test_mode

The DTM project already have built in functionality to do PER (packet error rate) measurements. Either with a BLE tester like a CMW, or by using another DK and the DTM test application for nRF Connect for Desktop.
