unit of IQ samples

Hi!
I have a (most likely trivial) question on IQ-sampleing.

What is the unit of the IQ-samples received in the direction finding sample ?
I assume it's dbm, but I haven't found an explicit statement on this topic in the documentation so far, only that they are in a range of [-200,+200].

Hi

Please check out this explanation on what exactly IQ data is. The data from our samples is only raw IQ data and it must be converted into vector form to be reviewed properly. We don't have have any specific sample code showing this, but you can check out this page for information on the various formulas used to translate IQ data between polar and rectangular form. Nordic will not provide a Direction Finding algorithm for you I'm afraid.

I doubt you're still hunting for the answer but...the range is (-pi * 64) to (+pi * 64), to the nearest integer, i.e. -201 to +201. This is mentioned in the section about IQ sampling in the radio section of the datasheets. It's angle, so obviously not in dBm, which is power.

Ignore that...it had been a long day and I was thinking of phase samples. IQ units must be linear though, not dBm.
