Calls to OpenThread

Im developing a project with OT. Im working over this example. It's configured in NCP mode.

I build the project and flash into the board nrf52840DK but I see tha main.c file just enable a log and that's all...

My question is, where can I find the spinel calls? Or the UART? I need logging some things to debug my project because my host system is not communicating properly with the coProcessor...

Hi,

I would suggest considering using this NCS Thread: Co-processor example which is based on Zephyr’s OpenThread Co-Processor sample and supports optional logging extension. I think that might be easy for you to debug.

I can't use that example because I need my CoProcessor working in NCP mode.

Anyway, my question is not going on that way. I need to know how to log something on the UART HAL, for example, or where could I see the code is running about spinnel.

Hi,

I'd suggest you switch to CONFIG_OPENTHREAD_COPROCESSOR_NCP, see here: https://github.com/nrfconnect/sdk-nrf/blob/main/samples/openthread/coprocessor/prj.conf#L9 and follow the NCS logging indications https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/samples/openthread/coprocessor/README.html#logging-extension
