MQTT nrf_cloud_codec cJSON parse error

Hello,

Based on the nrf_cloud_mqtt_multi_service sample I am trying to create a MQTT connection to the nRF cloud.

I am able to successful create a connection, but after I receive the NRF_CLOUD_EVT_TRANSPORT_CONNECTED event i receive a cJSON Parse error. 

I have an active LTE connection and in the nRF cloud is see the device online with an empty JSON object.

The MqttDriver is based on the connection.c file from the sample.

I am using a nRF9160-DK with SDK version V2.2.0

What is the source of this parse error and are there possibilities to fix this error?

Does the standard sample work? What changes have you added?  In \nrf_cloud_mqtt_multi_service\prj.conf please add 

CONFIG_MQTT_MULTI_SERVICE_LOG_LEVEL_DBG=y

Is the faulting cJSON packet something that you have added?
