Maximum node that 1 nRF24L01 can receive

I want to transmit data from 100 nodes to 1. Is this possible for nRF24L01? The 100 nodes do not need to transmit at the same time.

As I found out before, each nRF24L01 can receive maximum with 5 other transmitters at the same time. Is my understanding true?

Thank you very much for any supports.

  • Hi,

Yes, this is true. It can have up to 6 RF pipes, so for such a setup to work, you should use parts of the payload as an "extended rf address" for each device, and auto-ACKing shall be off (optionally: add manual ACKing in firmware).

I want to transmit data from 100 nodes to 1.

In order to transmit from 100 PTX to 1 PRX, you will need, in addition to the software implemented addressing (and soft-ACKing); some sort of timing synchronization to avoid on-air collisions.

    Kind regards,
