Unable to get output for Mesh Chat Example using PuTTY Terminal

Hello

I am trying to understand how string transmission works in Mesh with the help of Mesh chat example. I followed exact steps from the documentation but couldn't understand what is the problem.

I get like following in PuTTY Terminal.

Hoping for solution as soon as possible please

  • Hello Sai,

Sorry I couldn't get back to you on this before the weekend. What NCS version are you running, and what DKs are you using?

    Are the nodes far apart?

    Regards,

  • Hello

I use NCS Version v2.1.2 and DK is nRF52840_DK.

    Are the nodes far apart?

    No idea what is this.

I use only one kit for this Mesh Chat example. Its not like Mesh Server and Client right?

    Regards

  • I see. I believe this sample is mainly intended to be used with two DKs. It is not like the Mesh Server and Client, but you need another node with the Chat Client vendor model for them to chat together.

Though I am not sure if that fixes your problem. Are you getting the these warning messages on the terminal as soon as you turn it on? Or when does it pop up? And have you tried configuring anything on the health server at all?

  • I didn't know i also need another  chat client vendor model, so i need to flash two 52 series DK kits with same chat sample and send messages to each other?

    Regards

  • Yes, I believe so. I agree that it could be made clearer in the documentation.

Though if you for instance don't have another DK on hand right now there is also a lot to learn from our light samples. They work with just one node.

  • Thank You So Much for clearing my confusion:)
