Problem with stack size on nRF52820 since ncs version 2.2.0.

Hi,

• using nRF52820 on custom board
• with peripheral_uart sample
• from nRF Connect SDK version 2.2.0
• with prj_minimal.conf

I've found out, that since ncs release version 2.2.0 the CONFIG_MAIN_STACK_SIZE=640 in prj_minimal.conf is not sufficient. After flashing with this configuration, the device is caught in a reboot loop. After increasing CONFIG_MAIN_STACK_SIZE in prj_minimal.conf to 1280, the sample is working as expected.

Thank you for the problem report. I am able to reproduce it.

My apology for the late follow up. We have observed some problems with the Peripheral UART sample recently. However, our findings were based on the prj.conf configuration, so I decided to spend some time to reproduce and retry some of the experiments with prj_minimal.conf first before replying to you.

For your current work, does changing CONFIG_MAIN_STACK_SIZE work sufficiently for now? Please let me know if you need any further support.

Yes that's sufficient for me right now. A fix will be available in the next ncs version 2.2.1?

Unfortunately, I cannot comment on when and at which version a fix would be available; even though for this issue the fix is just changing the stack size configuration.
