NRF5340 UART Communication

Hello,

I have bought Nrf5340 Audio DK for our development. We are looking exporting audio information from the NRF5340's UART port to another chipset. I would like to check on the below information for NRF5340 Audio DK

- which UART (UART1 or UART2)can be used to do this development?

- which pin on the board should be connected for the UART 

- an example that I can refer?

Hi,

Available UARTs can be found by looking at nRF5340 audio DK dts files located in \nrf\boards\arm\nrf5340_audio_dk_nrf5340.

You could for example use P1.12, P1.13 or P1.14. You can find more information by looking at nRF5340 Audio DK hardware files.

Regarding the example, we have only sample which shows how to receive audio data via USB or I2S from external sources. It can be found in nRF5340 Audio DK documentation.

Thanks for your reply. I would also like to check the available sample rate and bit depth of PCM after LC3 decoding?

Hi,

Default value of LC3 bitrate is 96 Kbps, default audio sample rate is 48 KHz and bit depth is 16.
