Creating a Matter device with nRF Connect SDK v2.2.0

Hi,

I am working with NCS v2.2.0 and I want to modify the Matter template sample to create a matter sensor device that measures temperature.

I followed this guide to install ZAP and edit the clusters for my application :

But this guide is for the NCS v2.0.0 and the guide is missing in NCS v2.2.0 documentation.

I followed the steps to edit the main loop of the application in the guide but it doesn't work in the matter template v2.2.0.

Will you release an updated guide for NCS v2.2.0?

Should I try to adapt the code in the guide for the v2.2.0 matter template application?

What's your recommendation?

Hi,

There has been some restructuring done to the Matter documentation between NCS V2.1.x and V2.2.x. The page you're looking for are located here: https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/ug_matter_gs_adding_clusters.html for NCS V2.2.0 under Matter -> Getting started with Matter -> Adding clusters to Matter application.

If you got linked to the v2.0.0 version of the adding clusters from the v2.2.0 version of the docs, could you point me to where you started so I can notify the tech writers if there are any broken links that takes you from the v2.2.0 docs to the v2.0.0 docs? Or did you navigate from the v2.0.0 Matter landing page until you found the link you supplied?

Thanks for the link.

I naviguated from the v2.0.0 version until I found the link that I provided. Then I cliked on

'You are looking at an older version of the documentation. You might want to switch to the documentation for the 2.2.0 release or the current state of development.'

Which didn't work and I got 'error page not found'.

Thank you for sharing the path. I found the same path as you did before I looked up the new location. I will forward this to the tech writers so we can make it more clear.
