Mesh Chat in nRF5340 with thingy53 could not see in the unprovisioning process

Hello

I am trying to flash Mesh Chat Example in nRF5340 with thingy 53, I know it is not mentioned in supporting devices for that example, but i am sure it is possible as i have seen one forum answered question but my problem is different i could build and flash successfully but i could not see it in mobile for provisioning process. No idea what would be the reason.

Could you share some more information about your setup?

Which SDK version etc. Also which changes you made to the Chat sample.

Firstly, Thank you for helping me out

I am using SDK versions v2.1.1, v2.1.2, v2.1.3, and v2.2.0, I tried all these four different versions with both secure and non-secure configurations and nothing works. And I did not change anything in Mesh Chat Sample.

Can you please help me in this it is very important to me. and with only 5340 configuration can see device in unprovisioning node in versions v2.1.1, v2.1.2, v2.1.3 but could not complete provisioning process.

Update: with thing53 and nrf5340 configuration in versions v2.1.3 i can see in unprovisioned node but cant provision completely same like above.

Error: stops in step sending and receiving composition data.

Thanks for the updated information.

I'll get my hands on a Thingy:53 and do some tests on my end. Not quite sure why the device isn't able to complete the provisioning process.

Here are the pictures

Step:1 - Clicked on Mesh Chat1( I have 2 devices to identify it i renamed as 1)

Step:3 - Clicked Identify

Step:4 - Clicked provision

Step:5 - Clicked ok

Step: 6 Here is the problem (receiving and sending composition data) but not complete

Step:7 - Again going back to the start

NOTE: Can you please try thingy53 with nRF5340 because I need that configuration instead of only the nRF5340 configuration

Hi.

Sorry about the delayed response.

I haven't been able to make the Chat example work on the Thingy:53, yet. As it's listed as a non-supported example, you will probably need to make some changes in order for it to work.

I will try to allocate some time to look at the example for you. Meanwhile I suggest that you compare it to some of the other examples that supports the Thingy:53. Maybe you will find some pointers there.
