Is the nRF52 Development Kit (PCA10040) the same PCBA as the nRF52 Preview Development Kit (PCA10036)?

I was just at the Nordic nRF52 Global Tour in Atlanta and I received the nRF52 Development Kit (PCA10040). One of the Nordic engineers mentioned that the nRF52832 is at rev ES2 "Engineering Sample 2" and this is on PCA10040. They also mentioned that the board from Digikey is the nRF52 Preview Development Kit (PCA10036) and it has the nRF52832 rev ES1 "Engineering Sample 1".

Are the two PCBA's (10036 vs 10040) the same? If the PCBA's are different where can I download the Altium design files for the nRF52 Development Kit (PCA10040)?

It looks like they are not the same but I am not 100% sure.

Hi,

The PCA10040 is not in full release yet, and as such all documentation is not yet available(errata, altium files etc.). You are correct that the PCA10040 contains the new ES2 chip, there may also be some slight alterations to the PCB. There are no changes to the pinout of the ES2 chip.
