Trying to read from the PC some data coming through BLE using the nrf52840 dongle

Good morning,

I would like to read from the PC some data that will arrive at the nrf52840 dongle over a BLE connection.

I know that I cannot use the UART service through the USB of the dongle.

Is there any other way to send these data from the dongle to a serial port of the PC?

Indeed you can use the Nordic UART service through the USB port of the dongle. We have a USBD BLE UART Example that use the USB CDC ACM protocol as a virtual COM port over the USB port, which you can use to transfer the data to the PC from the dongle.

I already saw this example, but it exists just for nrf52840 (pca10056) and not for the nrf52840 dongle ble (pca10059). Can I adapt it somehow to my device?

The pca10056 project should run on the dongle out of the box, but to be sure, you can change the board preprocessor symbol from BOARD_PCA10056 to BOARD_PCA10059 and rebuild it.
