Smp client for dfu

Hello, everyone.

I would like to use mcumgr to update the firmware of a nrf52 via another nrf52 over uart.

From the documentation I understand that smp supports uart so in theory it should be possible to do.

In practical terms I need an SMP server capable of receiving an update (and so far there are various examples (well done btw)) and an smp client capable of sending the update (of which I cannot find the example).

So far I have found only one smp client example, BT only and only for advertising/echo example.

Can you help me in any way?

Hi, 
I couldn't find a sample that show you smp uart client. But you can take a look at this test sample: 
\zephyr\tests\subsys\mgmt\mcumgr\smp_client\src
It may help you on how to include the library into your code.

The nRF91 will update the nRF52 via UART. The nRF91 firmware uses the dfu_target library to do that. And dfu_target will use smp_client under the hood. I would suggest to study the example.
