Enable external sim card

I have a icarus IoT board, but now i'm using the eSIM on board but can't change to the external sim card. They have a tutorial https://docs.actinius.com/icarus/datasheet but when i follow this it won't change. Is there an other possebility to fix this.

How do you verify which SIM is in use?

Which nRF Connect SDK version are you using?

You could probably check build\zephyr\zephyr.dts and search for 'sim_select' to see which setting is active.

Have you set the DTC_OVERLAY_FILE variable? This will affect which overlay file is used.

Have you tried making other changes in your overlay in order to check whether the overlay file is being used?

I noticed that the documentation you provided suggests placing the overlay in a folder named 'boards'. Do you by any chance have two overlay files, one in the project folder and one in the boards folder? If two files, try merging them into one overlay and delete the other. Then verify that it is being used.
