nRF Connect for Desktop can't unpdate to 4.0.0

Hi to all,

My PC configuration is following:

1. OS - Windows 10;
2. Version - 10.0.19.045 build 19045;
3. nRF Connect for Desktop - Version 3.12.0;
4. PowerProfiler - Version 3.5.3.

    I have following issue:

1. Power Profiler button told me to update to new release, and I updated it to the newest 3.5.4;
2. Then I tryed to run Power Profiler and he told me I must update to nRF Connect  for Desk to 4.0.0;
3. I Updated nRF Connect  for Desk  trough auto updates.
4. Seems that all goes fine but nRF Connect Desktop still on 3.12.0;
   1. I tried to uninstall and reinstall 4.0.0.exe manualy;
   2. I tried to unistall all Nordic software installed on OS and then reinstall manualy and autoupdate;
   3. I tried to delete all Apps and then update to 4.0.0;
   4. but unfortunately nothing changed and my nRF Connect for Desktop still remain on 3.12.0.

Do you have any suggestion on how to proceed to update my nRF Connect to 4.0.0?

My idea is to delete all registry concerning Nordic but honestly I'm not so sure about.

Hi Stefano, I experienced similar thing and the update didn't happen in the first try. However I "insisted" and performed the install a few more times as it suggested in the opening screen of the nRF Connect for Desktop and I now have the 4.0.0 installed. Unfortunately I don't have a meaningful explanation for this, but this is what I experienced.
