Release Assistance Indication (RAI) for LTE-M

Hello,

I'm trying to use Release Assistance Indication for CoAP over CAT-M1 but find it hard to get going. Each old ticket or guide seems to use the feature differently and non of which worked for me so far.

Which example should be followed to get RAI running for CAT-M1 with modem FW 1.3.4 and SDK 2.2.0? 

Is this even supported by the current modem FW?  If not, are there plans to support it in the near future?

Hi,

Unfortunately, we don't have any samples showing how to use AS-RAI.

The udp sample can be configured to use CP-RAI, but that only works on NB-IoT, not LTE-M.

Is this even supported by the current modem FW?

Yes, AS-RAI is supported by the 1.3.x releases of the modem FW. However, you should note that not all networks support AS-RAI yet.

To use AS-RAI, you must first enable support in the modem, using the %REL14FEAT AT command.

Then you must enable it with the %RAI command.

Finally, use the RAI socket options to actually control when the RAI flag is set.
