nRF Connect for Desktop v4.0.0 blank window

nRF Connect for Desktop v4.0.0 opens with empty grayed blank window in Windows 8.1. I've already tryed Ctrl+R, tryed to uninstall, remove all remnants in folders and system register and install app again with no avail. If i install v3.12/ all work as expected but Programmer App warns that it supports only versions >=4, log shows "Unable to detect version of nrfjprog DLL", and "Unable to detect version of JLink"/ but J-link is connected to PC.

  • More of it - Programmer App complains "Installed JLink version does not match the provided version (V7.66a)"? maybe because "nRF Command Line Tools" installs J-Link pack 7.80c, and then "nRF Connect" installs v7.66a, not seeng greater version, now both are present in system.


    More of it - VSCode says it cannot find nrfjproj, again -  "nRF Command Line Tools" installed, and i've even added path to binaries in %PATH%.

  •  , thank you for you answer. Not sure what are you meaning by uninstall using installer. Downloaded from provided link, but app just silently installs v4 without any prompt to uninstall or repair or anything, newely installed v4 not working, and again - it starts Segger v7.66 installation, but v7.66 already installed. Tryed both x32 and x64. Tryed to run version called portable, same behaviour - blank screen. if i run app using cmd, i'm getting this output:

    icon.ico - isn't exist

    nrfdl-jlink-plugin.nrfdl - exists but something went wrong

    Maybe I was unclear in my previous response. What I meant was to uninstall nRF Connect for desktop. Then download and install it again using the installer from the link I provided.
    The reason I asked is that we have seen some issues when upgrading => v.4.0.0 within the application itself.

    I will provide the information to our developers. Will get back to you with more information.
