How to calculate the angle of arrival from different phase differences obtained from the antenna array?

Hello,

It's known that antenna switching takes place in order to find angle of arrival. My doubt is that If two antennae are switching at a time, then there will only be one phase difference and only one angle of arrival. But if four antennae are switching at a time, then how to calculate angle of arrival?

The trick is to compare the phase difference always with one antenna as the reference. You only use one antenna at the time.
