Hi,

i have purchased the following module

However, after connecting the VCC and GND to 3.3v DC supply the module is not detected. My questions are :-

1. Does this module come with firmware preloaded, or does one have to load it

2. If the latter, i.e. it has to be loaded - vs using a JTAG or JLINK for some other programmer, can this be done by directly connecting the SWDCLK, SWDIO line to a FTDI or say an Ardunio i.e. use either an FTDI device or an Arduino as a programmer. If yes, could someone please guide me to the appropriate link

3. I also read somewhere, that OTA programming of this module is possible. So will also be curious to understand exactly how ?

@Sundeep: Arduino board or FTDI will not help you. You need programmer like J-Link (best support). Somehow it's also possible to make it working with other programmers, but this will require more time make it working.

@Vrabec - thank you. I have the J -Link programmer and am able to program the module. Tried many examples from the SDK , the Blinky one am able to get to work, however, non of the BLE ones (e.g Beacon etc) seem to be working. I uploading the ble_app_beacon using the "flash_softdevice" option. It uploaded just fine, says application started, however the device is not showing on the nRF control panel on my android. Same is the story with all other applications. Please advise
