nRF8001 DK

Hi,

I have just opened my nRF8001 DK. It seems like for the evaluation of the nRF8001, I also need to purchase a nRFgo Motherboard, which is sold separetely.

Where does it say explicitly, that I need extra HW compenent, in order to use the nRF8001 kit?

Without this motherboard, does it mean, that I cannot do anything?

    I thought, I could use nRF8001 DK, like the nRF8002 DK as standalone. If there is no statement (which I couldn't find), that I cannot do anything with the nRF8001DK, then I think it is a scam from Nordic.

    There should be a statement for the nRF8001DK like there is in TI's case. I don't care with or without MCU, I purchased a DK and I would like to do accomplish something.

    But, I thank you for your comments. I will need to raise this scam (if there is no statement) to the officials of the Nordic, this is not acceptable from my point of view.

    On the other hand, all I am looking for is to program the data section of the advertisement packets and broadcast some data for test purposes. After that I would like to capture this data via a smart phone.

    Would I be able to do this two step task with nRF8001 DK + Arduino board and with some SDK from Nordic?
