ADXL355 In combination with nRF9160(DK)

I am currently developing a device with the nRF9160 and an ADXL355 accelerometer. I found out there are driver devices for other accelerometers in this kind but not the ADXL355. Does anyone maybe know where to find this? or is someone currently trying to make one on his own and would like to share this with me?

Hello, 

There are some similar devices from Analog, i.e. ADXL345, ADXL362, and ADXL372 already in Zephyr. Have you verified if these can be used or not for the ADXL355? The commands for control might be similar, but check the datasheet to be sure.

Regarding new device drivers, you could have a look at the Zephyr device driver model and generate your own drivers based on the drivers already available in Zephyr. There is a video on YouTube regarding Mastering Zephyr Driver Development presented by my colleague Gerard.

I am not really sure what to change, except the register adresses and the names? I can think of the fact the ADXL355 has other functiones compared to (for example) the adxl372.
