Using the PPK2

I'm trying to figure out how I'd wire the PPK2 in this simple circuit to measure the power consumption and no matter what I try, I don't seem to get anything.  The documentation does not provide instructions other than for use with a particular devkit.

Any thoughts which PPK2 ports and where I should hook them up?

  • I should be clear, if I disconnect the power supply and run it in Source Meter mode, then I can get it all humming... but I don't want to use the device to provide the power; how would I wire it up for Ampere meter mode so I can measure current when the system is externally powered?

  • OK, I got this sorted out... it was pretty straightforward of course.

VIN on the positive rail and VOUT to the anode of the LED with GND on the negative rail (making sure to remove any existing jumper wires that would provide a getaway route for those electrons).

But this wasn't really the issue I'm trying to solve.  I'm trying to wire this up to the DWM3001CDK, which has two pins for module current measurement.  I've wired one to VIN, and the other to VOUT but I cannot seem to figure out where I'd ground this.  Any thoughts?
