FANSTEL BT840XE with nRF52 DK eval kit.

Hello, 

I am trying to evaluate FANSTEL module BT840XE (which is using the nordic nRF52840 SoC). I am trying to flash the firmware with nRF52 DK eval board as mentioned by Fanstel's website. 

However I had the following questions: 

1. In Nordic's website the nRF 52 DK can be used for SoC's nrF52832 and nRF52810. Can the nRF52 DK eval board be used for BT840XE which utilizes nRF52840 SoC? Your website does not say it can but can you please confirm on this please? Would you recommend me using nRF52840 eval board kit instead? 

2. Can you please share example of nRF52840 Bluetooth range measurement example code? Can you also provide an example on how to calculate the RSSI value in this case?

Another set of questions: 

1. How can I change the transmit power ? Can you please explain in detail. In some of the devzone questions, there seems to be an answer but I do not know how to implement it? 

2. How can I change the PHY modes? Can you please explain in detail? 

3. In the link that  nRF52840-DK Range Testing With BLE, ZigBee and Thread Protocols at 0, 4 and 8dBm Transmit Power Settings, where exactly are they changing the transmit power and the PHY modes in main.c. Is the default value of transmit power is 0dB and the PHY mode is 1Mbps? 

CAn you please guide me through this process? Your help is greatly appreciated.

You will need to use the function  sd_ble_gap_tx_power_set() to set the tx power. See this ticket : https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/54562/location-to-set-tx-power-in-advertisement-and-connection-mode-also-change-them-dynamically-at-runtime/220720#220720

Yes, that is correct.

To change the PHY modes, You will need to change BLE_GAP_PHY_AUTO in the following snippet to BLE_GAP_PHY_CODED/1M/2M in both the central and peripheral samples.

Also, in case you are trying to use the nRF Connect SDK, you could use this sample: https://github.com/nrfconnect/sdk-nrf/tree/main/samples/bluetooth/peripheral_hr_coded

Also, can you please guide or do you have have any references on how to flash fanstel modules BT840XE through Nordic NRF 52840 DK module please ? There isn’t any clear documentation on it.
